The Piglet Mindset School Visit
Piglet Mindset School Visits are designed to enhance the free online Piglet Mindset Educational Program. Some teachers incorporate the Piglet Mindset program into their SEL curriculum throughout the school year. Others do a more abbreviated version pointed towards Inclusion Week, Disabilities Month, or a School Kindness Campaign.
To optimize the school visit experience for your students, at a minimum, teachers should spend at least 4 hours over 3-4 weeks using our online educational materials with their students.
Students should become familiar with Piglet’s story and how he approaches his challenges. They should understand what a Piglet Mindset is. They should be familiar with Piglet’s pack of adorable inclusive and kind rescue dogs from the online PowerPoint presentations and our children’s book, Piglet Comes Home. There are many creative, challenging activities and writing prompts that are included in the program.
We recommend choosing one classroom or one grade level to participate in our program every year. School visits with smaller groups are interactive and most impactful.
Will your teachers be able to spend time using our online Piglet Mindset program to their students prior to a school visit?
If yes, then please fill out and submit the form below to Melissa Shapiro, DVM.
We’ll be in touch to answer your questions, schedule a 20-minute Piglet Mindset info session, and plan for a visit. We’re looking forward to working with you!!
